We come from a 3-generation Singaporean Chinese household. Ah ma (grandma) was a hawker in her younger days with amazing recipes of traditional Chinese food. Now at 86 years old, she passed on her 糯米饭 lo mi fan (Chinese sticky rice) recipe that she has been perfecting for over 50 years!

Ah ma was born in Malaysia with Cantonese roots and moved to Singapore in 1960. She learnt authentic Chinese cuisine from her late mother (our great grandma). Growing up, we were blessed with her homecooked dishes and remember all too well the sweet aromas that would waft from the kitchen to our rooms.

To preserve our family traditions, we have learnt Ah ma’s recipes that her own mother has passed down to her. We decided to launch @sticky.lomifan as a tribute to both of them and to spread our love for this traditional Chinese dish! 🤍
